Carbon Black Dispersions for Plastic Colorant Applications
| Literature | Material Safety Data Sheets |
Wolstenholme offers carbon black dispersions for thermoplastics, thermoset plastics, and plastisol/PVC colorant applications. Our liquid black dispersions for plastic coloring offer the following advantages:
- Economical, due to high concentration of pigment
- Can be accurately metered into molding equipment at your required concentration
- Can be used with several different resin types
- UV and sunlight resistant
- Intensely black, uniform, consistent, repeatable color, and heat stable
For Thermoplastics
Wolstenholme's CK Series of carbon black dispersions for thermoplastics
are low viscosity pumpable liquids. These products are compatible with many
plastic resins used in injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding. The
high concentration of pigment and greater degree of dispersion provides
a uniform, lightfast, and heat stable color. Liquid color is an economical
alternative to pellet concentrates. Special additives can be incorporated
with these pigment dispersions.
For Thermoset Plastics
Our PK Series of carbon black dispersions for thermoset plastics
are intensely black, high concentration pigment dispersions in reactive
carriers, compatible with unsaturated polyester resins. These products provide
a uniform, dust-free, UV resistant, and heat stable color. They are easily
mixed into molding compounds.
For Plastisol/PVC
Our PS Series of carbon black dispersions for PVC and plastisols
can be used in the coloring of synthetic leather, fabrics, or extrusions.
